I’ve received a few emails lately asking if I’m okay and if I’ve started my journey. So, I haven’t started yet, and I’m generally doing well, except that I’ve been working almost exclusively on the computer these past few weeks.
In the process of implementing the best open-source AI tools to run locally on the ArchivistaBox, I searched for more or less useful tests, and sometime early in the morning, the following songs were created. Have fun!
Hiking around Switzerland
Rund um d’Schwiiz wanderä
Rund um die Schweiz wandern
Faire le tour de la Suisse à pied
Fare il giro della Svizzera a piedi
I hope you enjoy some of the sequences. The images were taken at my desk. I tried to capture my wishes, fears, and expectations in them before starting this tour. Three local image generators each provided 21 images. The cows were particularly difficult, see the introductory image above.
The plan is to supplement these trailers with recordings from the road during or after the tour. After that, you can decide which version is better.
Back to the question, when will it finally start? I think on Thursday. Since I haven’t done much in terms of sports for the last two months, I won’t start with huge stages. Regardless, the first 200 kilometers are quite easy, and it’s very spontaneous to “join” or “drop out.” Buses and trains will accompany me along Lake Constance and the Rhine to Basel.
Also, at the beginning, I’ll be doing daily stages. Since I don’t know yet
where I’ll end up in the evening, but there are buses and trains
practically everywhere, I’ll just see where the days take me.
So, I will leave Zurich at 6:08 AM on Thursday and arrive in Bregenz shortly after 8 AM. If that’s too early, I’ll probably spend the first hour watching movies. I’ll start around 9 AM.
